Crest Pro-Health Mouthwash Complaint

UPDATE: After contacting the team at the Crest Customer Service line (who were very helpful) I’ve found out I will be getting my dental visit paid for. I still don’t recommend the product. A quick recap of my horrible experience using Crest Pro Health Mouthwash. Who would have thought that a Crest product would stain my teeth brown, resulting in a costly dental visit to remove the stains. Do not use this product!

  1. first time using this shit and i have no more taste. never again

  2. I started using Crest Pro Health around 3 months ago. Today while flossing my teeth in the mirror, I noticed these strange brown spots. I was horrified. Then I opened up my mouth and took a deeper look and was shocked to discover the backs of my teeth have turned a deep brown color. I brush religiously, don’t drink coffee, am 42 years old and have only 1 cavity. These stains came on suddenly, and as a direct result from using this product. SHOCKING!

  3. Good job posting this. I have a different side-effect from Crest Pro-Health Multi-Protection Rinse. My left salivary gland is swollen after only 4 uses. Others have experienced this side-effect per comments I’ve seen on the Internet. I’ll call the P&G 800 number tomorrow morning when the office is opened. And after that I’ll call my dentist.

The tip of my tongue hurts from using this brand and for about 3days I couldn’t taste a thing.

  7. I actually found your video after googling “crest complaints.” I am in the process of contacting them because I used Crest Complete multi-care and now I have gum sensitivity, soreness, and redness. I have never had dental problems until using this product.

  9. just bought it … don’t know if i should keep using it …damn …i knew i should have gotten the 3d whitening

  10. Thanks for the video. I stopped using this garbage once I noticed my tastebuds started becoming dull.

  11. Thanks for posting this Brad. I have noticed a lot of staining recently and will stop using this crap pronto.

  12. You are a retard. That makes no sense at all. I saw some dipshit who worked for PG say the same dumbass thing, and I have come to the conclusion that you are a moron.

  13. SAME THING happened to me. I didn’t make the connection that my teeth were turning brown because of the mouth wash until today! I’m so angry!

  14. it turned my teeth brown too. This isn’t joke!

omg.. i bought the crest total care mouthwash, the PURPLE ONE,, wow fuck… it left such a bad after taste in my mouth…. it lasted for the WHOLE day not even kidding…everything i ate felt so washed out and numbed…i thought my tongue was dieing at first. however, i didnt get any stain on my teeth… but seriously the after taste is fucking horrible

  16. My dad told me to try it luckily I googled it before I finished half of the bottle and before any damage took place

  17. The reason your teeth is turning brown is because Crest is making your teeth so white when germs build up on your teeth… stop being such a stupid ignorant person… its making it soo white when u get dirty its easier to stain stupid fawks

  18. So glad I looked up this product!!! i just bought it the other day. And I used it. And there is foam in my mouth!! I googled the product and came across complaints of this product staining your teeth!!! NO BUENO!!! Dentists want to make money like doctors and pharmacists!! stay away from this product!!!

  19. the brown staining will not brush away, you need to go to a dentist.
i also lost my sense of taste using this product… i just been using it for awhile and i cant taste a thing, i caught it before the brown spots, but i cannot taste ANYTHING at all, i just emailed them and am very upset.

  20. if you read the label, it tells you some brown staining will occur but not harmful

  21. I worked for P&G for over 26 years and became disabled 3 years ago and even though I paid over $30,000 in premiums to be covered under P&G’s optional disability plan I was absolutely shocked after having SS and 5 Physicians declaring me totally disabled. P&G’s treatment of disabled employees is deplorable as we are treated like convicts, where we are subjected to the most degrading forms of treatment until we get fed up! That is their strategy to keep us from collecting benefits. I was SHOCKED!

  22. I started using this rinse and thought I was coming down with a cold or something. Then I realized this was occurring after each use of this product – my mouth would be numb for about 24 hours, tongue swollen, I lost sense of taste, my saliva thickened, I was nauseous, and my tongue turned brown. It was horrible, and the sad thing is you actually think you are having a medical problem but it is the frigging mouthwash!

  23. They do have some small print on the back of the bottle that warns in a very general way, but why the heck would I look for a warning about staining teeth on a mouthwash that is all about keeping teeth healthy?!

  24. Thanks for posting this Brad. I have had white teeth and no cavities for my entire life until using the Crest Pro-Health mouthwash. I switched from Plax because the Pro-Health had no alcohol. After only about a week of use my teeth look horrible, with brown stains in between along the gumline and even in patches along the top and front, especially on my bottom teeth.

What I’m most appalled about is that the FDA “investigated” this and found no problem!
