How painful is the procedure and how long is the recovery period?

  3. Just out of curiosity ( I stumbled across this video while searching for esophageal stethescope), why is this tube inserted externally, rather than orally, especially when a breathing tube? is inserted orally?

  4. very nice ,thanx dr charles .since last 4 months we have not seen any new post.kindly do post .regards

  5. I will see what I can do about the gastrostomy. I am sure I have one recorded.

  6. Very nice! I use it a lot too. Specially in cats.
Something I also do to check its position is to try to aspirate with a large syringe. If it’s on the esophagus, there should be negative pressure; if it’s on the trachea, air comes into the syringe.
It’d be nice to see some videos of gastrostomy of jejunostomy, as I rarely do the first and have never done the later.
