Grizzy Bear Dental Work – Bailey the Grizzly has a tooth removed

www.houstonzoo.org Bailey and Boomer, the Houston Zoo’s grizzly bears, were rescued from squalid conditions at an illegal animal holding facility. One of the effects of their neglect is the need for dental work. Recently a team of dental experts worked with the vet staff at the Houston Zoo to relieve Bailey bear of an abscessed tooth.

  2. Bailey and Boomer were both rescue bears. My wife has had the pleasure to work on both of these animals, as well as others. She has been employeed with Dr. Boyd for many years and will continue to help at the zoo when needed.
