Groundbreaking at the UCLA Venice Dental Center, UCLA

In February 2007, the UCLA School of Dentistry and generous donors, the Wilson and Bloomfield families, broke ground on a major renovation project at the Wilson-Jennings-Bloomfield UCLA Venice Dental Center. UCLA has been working hard to improve oral health in the Westside community since 1969. A new, dedicated pediatric dentistry wing will help the School meet kids’ pressing oral health needs.

Performance from the UCLA School of Dentistry 2012 Variety Show (Class of 2012 ftw!) on April 10, 2012 at Schoenberg Hall. The piece was shortened for this performance due to time constraints. Tashkorgan (or Tashkurgan/Taxkorgan) is a city in the Xinjiang (新疆) region of China, which borders the Middle East, hence the Middle Eastern flair to this piece. The city was one of the stops along the Silk Road, constantly seeing influences from both the East and the West. Share if you like! Thanks to Alex C for the video
